About me

My name is Ella and I would like to share my love of music and of the cello while helping you develop good habits that will come in handy in all aspects of life.

Experience

I started playing the violin since the age of 5 with the Suzuki method. After a few years I moved onto the cello and completely fell in love with that instrument.
When I first started teaching, I did group lessons as an assistant at the age of 18. Then I started teaching my own students. Now I have 10 years of private teaching experience.

Teaching Style

The way I teach changes depending on whal level you’re on.
For beginners, I’m inspired by the Zuzuki method and put a lot of emphasis on developing correct technique from the very beginning.
I know how hard it can be to develop a practise routine, so I focus a lot on nurturing good routines from the very start.
For intermediate players, we can discuss things you are struggling with and solve them.
I am a lifelong learner and often experiment with many different types of learning techniques. Becoming better learners can take practice, perseverance and motivation, but with the right habits it can be done.
